Hi, can anyone recommend a nice budget hotel that's pretty central.

    Thanks

I just got back from Barcelona yesterday, I stayed at the H10 Universat. It's a 3 minute walk from the Plaça de Catalunya which is city centre and where the airport bus leaves from.

I thought it was a great hotel and it was under €70 a night. But that's January prices. I'd definitely stay there again.

I stayed here with the family.

They are self catering apartments and are nice and clean.

Only 2 stops in the metro from the main square. We paid less than €200 for 4 nights

My partner and her mother stayed in http://en.hotelgranronda.com/ last February and were delighted with it.

It was my 4th time in Barcelona so didn't do a massive amount of sightseeing. I went to the Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo which amount are musts if you are into that kind of thing. Both are about €20 which is a bit much if you ask me!

I spent most my time eating tapas! The food is really good there, just make sure to venture away from La Ramblas when drinking and eating.

If you have any other specific questions feel free to ask.

I stayed in Hostal Gat Xino once. It was fine. Nice enough interior design, balcony, but designed to be cheap, functional and perfectly commodious.

    It gets OK reviews.
