Hi I need help urgently please. I recently got my pin for paye anytime. And I've been wanting to claim my tax back for 2014, as it's the first year I have ever had a full time job. And got let go before Christmas. Anyway I don't have my p60 but I do have my p45 and I'm able to log into my paye anytime. It gives my estimates on what I can claim for 2014 and have requested and it says it will take 2 days to process. Once processed is that it do I just wait for them to lodge it into my bank? Or is there documents I need? Thanks in advance

You will need a P60 to determine your balancing statement to see if you have overpaid your tax and are entitled to a rebate. Dont forget to send in any medical or dental claims on forms Med 1 and 2 if applicable. Good luck!

Yep, providing everything is correct I find that the money is normally paid in within a week. You' ll normally get an email telling you to log in and that the claim is processed.

I just don't have my p60 I'm told my employer has until 14th February to send it out. But then what do I do when I recieve it? Because paye anytime is online. I don't understand how my p60 will help me it it's sent out on paper and I'm doing it online

If you weren't employed by then at the end of the tax year, you probably won't get a P60. They is no obligation on your employers side to issue you with a P60.

I was let go November 29th 2014 just before Christmas. worked for about 5 months. but if I'm correct I'm entitled to tax back as I was over paying. and never bothered coming off emergency tax. so if I don't get my p60 or one for that matter. how will I go about getting my tax? sorry for the stupid questions

A P60 is what an employer gives all their current employees at year end.

A P45 is what an employer gives their former employee on parting company.

You won't get a P60 - if you did it would have the same detail as your P45.

If it will let you, you enter the details from your P45 into the relevant boxes on PAYE anytime (there are instruction videos).

If that doesn't work, by mid-February your employer should have filed their annual P35 to Revenue, which details how much pay & tax they operated on all their employees in 2014. Shortly after they file, PAYEanytime should become updated with your pay & tax details that way, and you'll be able to claim.

Don't forget that if you were getting JSB (as opposed to JSA), all but the first €13 of it is taxable, so that needs to be included in your claim if it isn't already showing on PAYEanytime.

When your employer gave you your P45, they would have sent an electronic copy to Revenue at the same time. When you logged into your paye anytime account your pay and tax details for that job should have been visible in your 2014 tab(you can check this by logging back in). You are then able to review 2014, claiming credits etc. Once you complete the process of the review for 2014 (inputting your pin) the review will be processed automatically so long as all is in order. Refunds, if due, normally hit your bank account within 5 working days.
