    Hi All

As many people know they offer for first 65 workers voluntary redundancy 5 weeks for each year of service and 4 weeks for compulsory if I wont decide to take first package.

My question is: I'm working for Pallas Foods 7 years and 8 months and if i take "voluntary" will i pay any tax? and how much would I pay if I'm on 491 euro for 40 hours per week and will I be able to claim social walfare or I will need to wait 9 weeks because I took voluntary.

Taxation on redundancy depends on service and can be quite complicated. Best ask on a tax forum.

I find the citizens information website, helpline and offices all superb. Probably an office in your local town.

They are not high flying tax experts but they'll get you the info you need.

    Hi karloseqm,

I moved your other thread to work and jobs forum: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057373040

You'll get better answers to your question there

You only need to make one thread :)

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
