Just overheard two members of the public having an argument outside my door.

The girl claims the guy hits her but the guy claims the girl hits him. Headbutts were thrown by all accounts and another group of lads were shouting at the gent to "boot her into the forehead and knock her out". She kept asking "do you love me?"

This isn't the first time I've heard this exchange since moving to Limerick.

So AH, was I right to delay putting my bins out considering the tempers out there?

From the sounds of it, yes. I hope you also had the good common sense to call the Gardaí while you were at it?

The correct term is "kick her in the back of the forehead"

Shocking. This sort of thing never ever happens in any other city in Ireland.

Is Limerick a city or a council estate?

Really because such a bad image I have been getting from hearing and reading about it in the last few years. I'm sure there are good parts but the impression ain't great.

    What does Wogan think?

This wasn't in one of the well known areas either. Twas near enough to Mary I.

Last week someone tipped over all the bins on the street. It's a lawless town.
