Big AmmoNYC fan. I think he's really good at what he does as well as explaining it. The best thing about him is he's always learning himself and telling you about the new techniques and stuff he's learned and trying.

I like ammo nyc. The f40 he owns is sweet. I would like him to work on the Astra at home. Paint need work. Loads of swirls

Most of these videos are of guys working on cars that are already in good enough condition.

I'd love to see a video from a guy that reflects the situation of most viewers; tight budget (say 400 for absolutely everything, bar a pressure washer and hose, but including a DA and pads) and taking a car caked with dirt, all the way up to polished, sealed and maintained, with links at the end to products used. That's the real challenge I think! :pac:

AMMO is a number 1 in my opinion.

400 put towards good products, would do a damn good job, in fairness.
If you were to pick up a DA second hand...then choosing a few products that can do the job well, add a few new pads and polish, and you're laughing. Mightnt be a massive budget for an expensive choice of LSP, but sure something like Turtle Wax :P will look brilliant on fully corrected paintwork....or Collinite 845 isnt too expensive and ideal.

What about when you just can't stop wanting to try new products? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Curran

You only said that you wanted to see someone do a job from start to finish on a 400 quid budget....you didnt factor in trying new products! :P

Got some Meguiars stuff today to give the car a bit of a wash and wax, car shampoo, tyre dressing, wax plus drying towel, microfibre cloth, two polish applicators and a microfibre washing mitt for €40. Thought it wasn't bad value for what's in it.

Any opinions in general on Meguiars products?

Where did you get all that for €40?

I've no doubt he's very good, in fact I'm sure he is. I just think his videos don't need to be as long as they are.

I was in Halfords the other day and they had this wonder wheels range, everything €1. Reduced from between 8 and 13. Glass Cleaner, Glass Polish, Compound, Shampoo, Wheel Cleaner, Leather Cleaner. So I ask the young guy has he any left, and he said, and I quote, 'some b!tch came in and bought them all, every f#cking one of them'

He was apparently going to buy some on his lunch break. Felt sorry for the lad, he's probably on minimum wage and would have been a good buy.

    Over 90 items.

Most of their range is quiet good.
If its the drying towel and microfibers Ive seen them sell in the past, not the best quality, but worse out there...you've gotten decent value.

Thanks. The microfiber is softer than anything I have now so that's a plus. I'll give them a go and post a photo of the results.
