Who is winning the ideological war?

    ISIS/ISIL/DAESH

Isis with the understated, often listless 'My Ummah, dawn has appeared' The harmonies, full of tritones, are wild and remote. Virtuosity is only the start. Here, in the B minor sonata and in the three youthful Petrarch Sonnets, ISIS is magisterial. For many years Bach has been their calling card. Their Liszt is, if anything, yet more compelling. 'Best Jihadic Nasheed' the self description from Isis only scratches he surface.

It's not a case of winning or losing because I doubt that ISIL crowd will ever accept they've been defeated.

But the western liberal democracies will persist

Well the Americans are winning the propaganda war. Let's train and arm all these groups fighting Assad......"Oh look, they've gone and join ISIL." And they allegedly never saw that coming.

Quite convenient, create the disease and then fight it. A win-win for the Yanks.

The say the first world is winning implies an ideological war exists.

There is no competition, the cultural output of the Western world (in this case referring to secular nation states coming from the the European enlightenment and peach of Westphalia) is immeasurably more than disaffected Islamic groups.

That radical Islam is a backward ideology that spread partially as a reaction to Western dominance is indicative of this.

Ever watch an interview of a ISIS fighter where the makes claims like "we will raise the flag of ISIS over Buckingham palace and the Whitehouse?" They have to make wild unrealistic claims to cover their sense of inferiority.

Some Americans are equally as brainwashed as those in isis. Most of them couldn't point to the middle east on a map.

Not being able to point out a region on a map really cannot compare with chopping the head off someone and broadcasting it on the Internet. Your view is the type of gibbering nonsense you'd here emerging out of the gob of some 1st year Arts student doing a sociology module.

If you actually ever had the experience of living in America then you'd realise how brainwashed they are.

Are you suggesting that the US State Department are trying to influence opinion by shilling on an Irish message board? Head down to Centra dude, and buy a few rolls of tinfoil. Time to make yourself a hat.

So why not just call the police and have them deal with it?
This practice is employed when it comes to broadcasting a 4-year-old getting gang banged by paedophiles and filming it or thugs burning a horse to death.

You'll have to give examples, horse. How American brainwashing can be compared to some of the acts carried out by ISIS. Otherwise I'll have to surmise that you're suffering from a type of brainwashing of your own - thinking you know what you are talking about.
