    4.5W but dimmable

when you add in postage they are OVER the €6.99 * * Suggested retail price on http://www.philips.ie/c-p/8718291192862/led-spot-dimmable

If you buy two sets you'll save 3% on the RRP

Most of the Ibood offers are ruined by that silly shipping price

My family home and where i currently live have 13 gu10 bulbs, some properties have way more, brings the shipping cost per bulb way down...

12 bulbs would be €72.35 vs €83.88 RRPl before bulk discounts and offers / argos vouchers or B&Q senior discount or whatever the shop has.

If you are near , 12 GU 10's in Ikea would be €72 - also dimmable and 36 degree spot

but they are 400 lm rather than 240 lm

more a gripe about ibod and them suggesting the RRP was €40

Thats a lot of gu10's. Presuming you are using bog-standard 50w bulbs, that works out to 3,550 watts - thats a serious waste of money/energy.

I have about 30 and took a chance on cheap Chinese ones from dx.com.They cost 40 quid including shipping and still perfect after 2 years plus way cheaper esb.

look on the bright side. Marvsins will have a ZERO heating bill. The GU10s will take care of that.

Bear in mind with guys, these are GU10's to replace 35W halogens, not 50W, which I imagine are a lot more common in people's homes.

I work in the commercial LED lighting area and in general the LED bulb replacements like GU10's are a bit optimistic in terms of their comparable light output. Obviously there's a massive energy saving with them so they are a no brainer, just know that some are a lot better than others. Philips are a decent brand though and these are rated to 15,000 hours. Thats an eternity in a home though and I'm sure these would last a very long time. Watch out if you're existing Halogen GU10's are 50W though, in that case definitely go for LED equivalent's that are meant to replace 50W!

Zonda agree, I have 4 watt philips in family home and the light is just about acceptable. Got 13 of the 5.3w osrams for the apartment recently and they are actually marginally brighter than the halogens that they replaced, which I found incredible!

The ibood bulbs are 36degree and clearly focused not really a substitution for 50degree downlighters.

Also the ibood bulbs are only dimmable with phase cut dimmers so may not dim at all and may even be damaged by other types of dimmer.

Things are much better since DIM 2 regulation the minimum lumens now to claim 35w is 230lm, the ibood philips ones are rated 240lm even with bending of the truth they should be brighter than the average 35w bar the energy saving/xenon types. Previously philips and other major manufacturers were claiming 35w replacement with as little as 110lumens.

Those are rated 350 lumens some of the older philips 4w are around half that.
