Obscure privacy design half way along plain glass?

When getting in double glazing, is it possible to have obscure/privacy glass half way along a pane, and then the pane becomes ordinary fully transparent glass for the next half way of the pane?

Not, two panes of glass with a divide, but actually one piece of glass.

    Thanks

Yes. You can get glass etched or a much cheaper option use etched glass vinyl cut to any design you like

Do you mean have it etched by someone after installation?

Do you mean something like this?

    ebay.co.uk/itm/Privacy-White-Frosted-Window-Film-Frost-Etched-Glass-Sticky-Back-Plastic-Vinyl-/121450967669?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=420392335281&hash=item1c470ab275

I wonder if it would collect dirt along the edge of the vinyl where it meets the unobscured glass?

I'm sure you could get the vinyl fitted to the inner surface before the double glazing process. They might have to trim it off around the edges to ensure a gas tight seal against the glass but if done accurately, you could get the uncovered band at the edges of the private section down to a few mm. Then no dirt collecting or peeling
