My dad literally just asked me about that a few minutes ago. Not all of them are gone but Channel 5 and a couple of others have vanished.

Probably could do with asking in the cable + tv forums.

There are no English channels on Saorview

(In case anybody asks how to get English channels on Saorview)

It was possible to watch the main British channels (BBC's for example) on some Saorview free-to-air boxes.

And I don't mean the combination boxes.

Those channels are on Freeview (not Saorview) and only available through a Saorview box if you are within range of a UK transmitter.

You're asking in the wrong forum anyway Mrs cockett. This forum is more or less for discussion of TV shows, as you can see from the titles of the threads.

You'd have a better chance of getting the attention of somebody who may know the answer you seek in the Terrestrial section of the Tech forums < Click that last bit, it's a link to go there and save you searching for it.

Locking as there is a thread on this issue in the Tech forum.
