Is it just me, or are TV3 beating a dead horse with this? Lucy Kennedy is just a voice I don't want to hear, and I pity poor Martin King.
They have tried different presenters, Sheana Keane for one, and its just not working.
Now they are moving it to the 7.30 slot, where it will (no doubt about it) be trounced by Emmerdale and Corrie.

And lastly, can Sybil Mulcahy not catch a break? She gets cut from Xpose, she gets cut from another show she had with Martin King, and now TV3 have cancelled her planned talk show called Life.
Seems like she's just been left hanging around TV3 waiting for a gig.

(And Mods, if there is already a topic about Late Lunch Live, feel free to put this post there. I just couldn't find anything about it. :) )

Seems this show is working well, good guests most of the time and Lucy And Martin have good chemistry. I'd much prefer watch it than the borefest that is Nationwide

Yeah we end up watching it most evenings and it's actually all right. Though am getting a deja vu with some of the guests...wasn't he just on a couple of weeks ago? type thing.
The way Lucy stares into the camera when she has read her bit is a bit freaky, other than that thumbs up!!

What is it with TV3 & overly harsh studio lighting?

All their studio content suffers from it.

They have too many guests on and it really can't hold up a full hour of fluff in prime-time. Is there any difference between this show and Late Lunch Live?

Nationwide certainly needs a shake up but at least is just 3 nights a week.

Hasn't been doing that well viewer wise.

Yeah some guests are a bit too repetitive but in general I find it okay. At least it is upbeat tv at 7pm and they always seem to have a good laugh on it. Lucy has a tongue like a sword and some of her put downs are pretty funny

Nationwide or the 7 O'Clock Show? Any ideas how many are watching each? I would have thought a good few people used to leave it on Nationwide after the news but now switch over to TV3 as its a lot more upbeat than RTEs offering.

SOCS averaging 45,000 since it started. While upbeat it's prob to studio based. Works like a morning show, do they ever have musicians in?

I think they were aiming for an Irish version of 'The One Show' with a bit of cooking thrown in.

So... how do Martin and Lucy compare to Matt and Alex? :o:D;)

But it's nothing like the one show

I enjoy the 7 o'clock show - come in from work and watch something that isn't too taxing !

The guests can be good/ quirky and the cookery slot is always worth a look.

Thought Louise Duffy and Ian Dempsey were a good pairing when Lucy and Martin were on holidays.

45,000 is not bad, plenty to build on. I've seen them with musicians on during the last 5 minutes of Friday's show. I wish they'd do it more like 2 or 3 times a week to play them out.

They have had the same audience since it started, with tiny increases but nothing major. While it is something to build on it will be difficult considering Xpose hasn't seen increases audience in the last 10 years on the air.

45,000 is the average audience for Ireland AM, it took Ireland AM nearly 5 years to reach that level.

It's daytime TV in prime time, with daytime audience figures.
