    Paypal case

I have had a nigthmare of a time with an Iphone I got on ebay, long story short I had to open a paypal case and return the phone. I had initially set the phone sim slot to the persons address in Dublin as we had agree to swap sim slots as they apprently had the right one I needed with the correct IMEI.

I never got said sim slot and apparently they never got mine either. Anyways they emailed me the IMEI number and I checked it and it was locked to 02 UK and had find my iphone turned on.

I opened the paypal case and returned the item by registered post. I sent it the persons address in Dublin where I had sent the previous sim slot, however on Paypal it said to said to someone called Pablo in Spain. I emailed paypal to find out which address I should post to but heard nothing back so I sent it to Dublin.

I uploaded a picture of the an post receipt, the tracking number and some screenshots of the An post site showing it had being signed for.

Did I make a mistake not sending it to the paypal address ? The case is still being reviewed but I'm worried I might have ****ed up.

How long did you give PayPal to get back to you before sending it? I presume you sent it to the address registered with eBay.

It's only being 3 days and it still says under review so maybe I'm being impatient. How do I check the address registered on ebay? The paypal one was Spain so I sent it the address where the seller had previously old me to send the sim slot.

If in doubt, always send to the paypal address, you can find the ebay registered address by going to 'Advanced search' and 'Find contac information'

Thing is though An Post won't send a phone so sending to Spain would have being damn expensive... I'll be patient and await an update.

Went through a similar experience last month. Bought a watch, paid via paypal and then nothing. No correspondence from the seller, nothing. No response to the numerous emails etc

Initiated a dispute with Paypal, they contact the seller and a watch is delivered within 3 days. Only problem is that the watch is not the one I ordered. Emailed seller at least 15 times, no response so I upped the dispute with paypal. Paypal instructed me to return the watch to the seller for a refund. The only problem is that the return address paypal give is different from the one on the sellers website (not ebay). I return watch to the address in Portugal that paypal instructed via An Post registered post. Emailed paypal pics of the receipt, screenshots of the An Post website saying item delivered and pics of the package with the address etc. Paypal close my dispute saying that delivery could not be confirmed. Paypals email say that if I am unhappy I can Appel via the appeal tab on the dispute webpage....there is no appeals tab....

So I am left with no item and no refund. Still waiting for Paypal to return any of my correspondence with them 3 weeks later. I feel really let down by Paypal.

Hope your issue turns out better than mine.....
