I had 2 calves with ecoli.

I am going to vaccinate the rest of the cows against scour.

Question if I buy a calf to put on a cow (this cow's calf had ecoli but is better) is there anything I could give the bought in calf to stop them getting ecoli.

The cow has a lot of milk

An older calf, such as you'd buy, should be unlikely to get E. coli.

what age of a calf would not be expected to get ecoli?

As a rule of thumb E. coli is usually a problem of calves up to about 5 days old. Add a few extra days to cover the out-liers and you are still looking at a calf less than a week old.

vaccinated the cows on saturday its expensive 203 euro for 20 cows.

There was 1 cow I didn't vaccinate as she is due to calve this week.

Is there anything I can give the calf to stop him getting ecoli?
