Cars imported from UK now with Irish plates, any way of finding out the original reg?

Whilst browsing for cars, I notice a lot are now imported from the UK. Will any check tell you its original UK reg? Or how would you find out?

It's listed on the car's Irish log book. A history report should also list it.

I imported my own car, to be honest never looked at the logbook.

I think there is a section on the log book for listing the previous or original registration number.

My last 3 cars including my current one, were all originally from the UK and all had their old UK reg number listed on the log book.

Yep, it should be on the VLC for all imports.
Even have a couple of Jap's here with the original Japanese number on the VLC.
