Little used train line...

A couple of years ago, travelling into town on the dreaded 67 bus, I noticed on the wall at the Phoenix Park (coming into town from Chapelizod) that the stone work changed slightly, on a section of the wall. As in, it curved upwards on both sides, representing a kind of semi circle. It looked like there was a tunnel going under the Phoenix Pk at that point. Being the little genius that I am, I put two and two together and realised it must be coming from nearby Hueston Station.
I found a little more info about it afterwards, and it turns out that there is a line running partly underground, partly overground from Heuston to Connolly. I think they use the line to transfer train carriages to and from each station. A good few of you are probably aware of it because I think they used that line for a ghost train at Halloween there.

Has anyone here ever walked the track? It's something I'm mad to do ever since I found out about it. I would love to get in there some night and walk the track from Heuston to Connolly. If anyone has any more info on it I'd love to know.

DO NOT WALK ON RAILWAY LINES

That is a live rail line that is in regular use, it is stupid, dangerous and illegal to be on it.

There is no shortage of people who thought they were smart/quick enough to trespass on railways without getting hurt that found out the hard way that they weren't.
