I booked a flight abroad, and the return was supposed to land in Dublin at 17.00 on Sunday night.
They sent me an email that it will now land at 22.45
Which leaves me stranded in Dublin for the night. Is there any recourse for changing this without a fee since they made the initial change, or some form of compensation.

I tried ringing their + 353 0818 365000( http://www.aerlingus.com/help/contactus/#d.en.1201), but each variation i tried was just met with an invalid number message.

Is there any way of actually getting to talk to someone in Aerlingus ?

    Thanks

Where are you trying to ring them from? That link doesn't work, it flashes up for a sec, but then redirects to another page.

just figured it out how to ring them. closed now but will try again tomorrow. (edit 0818 365000)

But do I have any right to some form of compensation given that their change of schedule leaves me stranded in Dublin for the night?

This happened to me, they changed the DAY and hour of the flight, I almost only noticed too late.
I called their customer support and was promptly offered either an alternative flight or refund - I got the latter, they almost ruined my holidays, but at least didn't make it too hard to sort this.
    Good luck!

think when the day is changed you are entitled to reimbursement. I still arrive upon the same date, just so late as to be massively inconvenient.

Not sure if that entitles me to some sort of refund.

If the departure time changes by more than 2 hours they will usually let you change flight for free, or you can take a refund if you prefer.

Their communication with you should have stated what Steve O says, if it didn't they're in trouble.

Unless its a delay on the day it has to be outside of 5 hours. But yeah, two hours schedule change is a full refund or else they will accommodate you onto another flight

Yes they offered a full refund or alternative flight the next day. Thanks for the help.
