    Hi folks,

this has been an ongoing problem for about 2 years. The left button on the touchpad just stopped working, I have no idea why but have been able to get by using the touchpad for the left click.

Last week I upgraded the OS from vista to Win7 and while doing that I decided to replace the buttons hoping this would sort the problem.

So after changing the buttons I still have the same problem. I then tried updating software, still nothing. I have no idea why the button won't work!

Anyone have a similar problem? I have goggled it and seems like a common problem but none of the answers have helped me.

Might be worth opening the laptop and reconnecting the ribbon to the touchpad (or have you tried that already when replacing the buttons?)
