Hi,

I bought a van and paid a deposit to the dealership and signed a lease agreement for the balance. I am now trying to claim back the vat. The finance company have sent me out a vat schedule on the monthly rentals but I have no record of the vat paid on the actual cash deposit I paid the dealership. I rang the garage in question and was told that because they invoiced the finance company and showed vat on the full price of van including on the deposit I paid they can't issue me with a seperate invoice for this deposit. How do I go about claiming the vat back on the cash deposit I paid??
