Very rare car here especially the E90 version.

I bought my 2007 E92 335i (and Mazda6 MPS I had previously) from them in 2012. Price was good, Mapfre warranty didn't cover the main problem with the car which meant I had to fork out to get both turbos replaced. The warranty only covered "sudden failure" items, the issue with my turbos was wear and tear on the Mitsubishi turbos.

The engine in that car didn't suffer from this though so you don't have to worry about it.

Sarsfields have a name for being a bit of a dodgy company, none of which has been proven and none of which I have encountered myself. You'll get the car you want at a price you're happy with and a good enough customer service but from my experience they're not really into helping you out afterwards.

With that said, when I got the Mazda, the windows wouldn't open from the switch panel on the driver's door. It turned out that when the battery goes flat or is disconnected, you need to do a procedure with each window from its own switch. The salesman in Sarsfields had a new driver's switch panel sent to me from a Mazda dealership out of his own pocket. I just got in touch with him, got it sent back and he was very thankful.

Bit pricey for an 06, theres a 07 m-sport 5 on done deal for 10. private though.

Also, just to add - you can get a lower mileage 335i for less and the savings to be made on fuel in real world driving is very little between the 35d and 35i but you'll pay more for the 35d just because it's diesel.

A lot of money for a 06 ?? You will be putting it through the nct every year from next year.Maybe you could find something private with a good service history ?

that's normal for a diesel, would it put you off, I'd prefer it in most cases esp if its been looked after.

I suppose you have a point but whoever was to buy that would have to budget for repairs to the usual things that need replacing in high mileage BMWs regardless of what engine is in them :)

Might have all the big stuff already done at this stage, would be a big buying point also.

Thanks for the opinions folks, this was my plan B option if Plan A didn't work out and luckily plan A worked out in the past 30 minutes!

Not quite as rare or powerful but i should be collecting a low milage E92 330D Saturday evening :D

The 330d is a very nice car too. It's a much more reasonable idea if you want to be making savings on fuel compared to the 335d.

It's not the red one in J. O'Donoghue's that you're getting is it? Nice car but they are better in auto with the black paddle shifters.

I would avoid that place like the plague. My mate bought an E90 from them and they've been useless.

Go for a 5 series at least adults won't be cramped in the back and it's just as fast.

Get a huge amount of checks done on that car, especially service history and mileage. Fine tooth comb.

If it were me id walk away, too good to be true, and seeing the 3k price drop suggests its been there a loooong time so suggests all is not what it seems.

Thats the one, agreed about the auto and iDrive would have been nice too, but like everything in life there's always going to be compromises!

In this case I got the engine, trim level and color combo that i wanted, there's feck all miles on the clock, 2 years piece of mind with the warranty and I feel like i got a pretty good deal with my trade in so happy out

    Will do!

Over the past 12 months the only ones that have been in the back seat of my E46 have been herself's nieces and my brother who doesn't have the greatest altitude :D

Congrats :) It's a very nice motor despite no auto or iDrive. Pics when you have it :D

Hi All, Saw a 2009 330d with 154000 miles but with full service history. Do you think the high mileage would be a problem seeing as its well serviced? at 6500 gbp, seems like a good deal and I only do 6000km a year

Not bad, but you should of opt for a petrol model esp if you do more town driving, short trips, it would be fine if it was a weekend car, long trips etc you need to get it out on the open road for the dpf to regen properly, or it will clog up.

To be honest I was gonna be join halfers with my Dad who is up north. Taxed, insured in his name then I take it down here for a few weeks down here every now and then, meanwhile we both have our local petrol runarounds for Tesco runs etc.
My wife and I take the odd trip out west from dublin and sometimes down to Kerry etc for a weekend/hotel break and I'd love a nice driving car for those trips, was thinking the 330d would be perfect.
