    Hello

I'm from Italy and live in Ireland since 1998. A few years before moving to Ireland I had bought an apartment in Italy that I now use for holidays only and generates no income. I pay the property tax in Italy, city council tax, bills etc. by sending money to my father's account. I have no bank account of my own in Italy anymore, but I have all the authorizations to act on my father's account. I wonder if I have to declare this to the taxman in Ireland even if the account is not on my name. Does the simple fact of having the power to act on someone else account obliges me to declare this to the taxman in Ireland ?

    Thanks
    Varni

You don't have to tell the Irish Revenue authorities anything.
