Hello I am a complete newb,

I am currently new to the whole tax, custom charges and VAT thing. I am buying a smartphone which cost €120 with a postage of €10-€20 by DHL. This is my first time to use DHL and to buy something outside the EU. The smartphone is from China. I have read the taxation info from Revenue.ie and it mentioned that there will be NO custom charges if the good is either in the EU or below €150, but I must pay the VAT if it's over €22.

Even though the info is there I still would like some people (who are more experienced) to confirm that I am right that I don't have to pay the custom charges cuz it's below €150. However, I am NoT sure about the VAT Rates I have to pay. I tried searching on the Revenue.ie site about the rates but I couldn't find them T.T

The site says that the buyer will pay the VAT and any Taxes and Import Custom Charges. I also don't know how will I pay it, if it's either online or by real cash.

Tell me what you know in detail please! Ty.
P.S. Does DHL follow the custom charges and taxation of Revenue.ie? Or do they have their own taxes?
