CAO - FETAC Question

I'm currently doing a level 7 course, it is two years long. After the two years you apply to get into 2nd or 3rd years of a similar level 8 course.

Is it possible to apply for the level 8 through fetac(I'm assuming its through fetac) and apply through the normal cao (leaving cert results). Can you only apply through one way or both?

    Thank you.

I meant to write that I'm doing a Level 6 - Higher Cert, not 7. Sorry.

I think you have to do the CAO and directly apply to the college you want to go to as a transfer student. You have to make sure your modules correspond with what they've done in first, and most colleges charge an additional application fee (I know DCU's is €35).
