I have an xbox 360 wireless adapter that I used on a windows 7 pc as a wireless card. It plugs in via usb, and all I had to do was install the relevant device driver.

I have a pc with windows 8 atm, and i thought I could use the same drivers but it doesn't work.

Does anyone know of a device driver thats compatible with windows 8, or if there's a way to force it to use the windows 7 device driver?

It'll work, you just have to force it to use the driver.
It's built into Windows 8 so you don't even need a driver disk.

Go to Device Manager, find the un-recognised device, double-click it, go to driver tab,
"update driver", "browse my computer for driver software", "let me pick from a list...",
and then manually select "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver" & install driver.
