I have just completed Phase 1 of the New Frontiers entrepreneurial programme and I reckon I have a good chance of making it on to Phase 2.

I have been self employed for the past year and have been receiving BTWEA while I develop my business.

If I make it onto Phase 2 will my BTWEA payments prevent me from receiving the New Frontiers stipend.

I would advise contacting the case officer that you were involved with in the processing of your BTWEA they should be able to give you this specific information.

I have no idea of the answer, I would think not if money goes straight into business development (but that's a guess, and not based on any facts) but big congrats to you, that's a great achievement.

Anyone have any info or links as to where to apply for this BTWEA, as my partner wants to become self employed but it would mean a huge risk by giving up our jobseekers allowance.

You go into your sw office and get an application form for BTWEA and return it to a case officer. Technically you would not be giving up your JA. He would receive the same rate on BTWEA for 1 year as he does on JA. It is reduced for the 2nd year of BTWEA. At anytime on BTWEA he feels he will not be able to make a living from self employment he can look to go back on JA.
