I've only started back to college this semester so I don't know anybody.
I'm finding it hard to settle, more in the class than outside.
It feels as if there's this cliquey vibe from some people and it's a big course everyone already has their friends or have groups formed . I dread the lectures more than the breaks at the moment being around so many people I don't know. My first course had a much nicer vibe it had less people only 30 this one has 80 . I was on this course last year too also had 80 still felt the same.
I know it's only the first week back I just feel a bit judged when I'm around others today we all had to fob in at the end the lecturer forgot no one was passing it to me for a while just kept passing it to other so it was really awkward standing there think I heard one of the girls say "freak" to me don't know why. I'm a quiet person I can be more confident just not when I'm around people I don't know.
I have a pair project coming up soon in a class I don't know anyone so this has me stressed out even more.
I'm productive during my breaks keep busy in the library/starbucks studying I feel like a fish out of water in the classes.
What can I do to settle in? and not dread the lectures as much?

Op I am in the exact same situation as you, just wondering how you are getting on?
