Fire cert curtains for a guesthouse. needed?

    Hi All,

I am in the process of reopening a guesthouse that has been unused for several years. It needs redecorating. I am trying to find out what if the curtains need to have a fire cert or not. The building already has a valid fire cert so the fire brigade are happy. Our insurance broker doesn't seem concerned with a fire cert fabric either, and finally, a local guesthouse said they don't bother. So my question is; is there a regulation that states it must be fire certed and who enforces it?

Thanks in advance for any responses.
