Lads if you get one of your own lambs slaughtered for the freezer do you need to send the pink slip to the DVO?

    thanks.

I don't. Tis a local butcher with a small abattoir that does it for me. As far as I know he sends off the sheet I give him.
I just write it into the flock register then.

so he sends off the pink slip?

either way the pink slip must go to the DVO or does the flock owner keep it?

It must go to the DVO as the lamb left the holding, same rules as if you sold privately

My local butcher/ abattoir does the paperwork online so doesn't need to send off the pink sheet

The onus is on the buyer ( not the seller) to notify the DVO

Anyone know anywhere you can buy a lamb cut up for the freezer in the north-east (Dundalk) area and roughly how much it would cost please.
