Quick question about AN Post. I post some items that would be larger than the standard envelope size fo An Post so they get posted as large envelopes for 1.20 cent. However depending on which cashier I go to I sometimes get them sent for 68 cent. Would I be better of just getting 68 cent stamps and sending them all as standard letters?

Could someone possibly notice and have it destroyed/sent back to me or just go undelivered?

I had a small packet deliver to me with a sticker to say insufficient postage was paid should be €3.40 (Packet) but only had stamps €1.65 (large envelope), there was no return address so there was another sticker that parcel was open as insufficient postage was paid to check if the sender address was inside.

Check the size chart - up to C5 (just a bit bigger than half a page of A4 paper,) is treated as a standard envelope and once its under 100g, it is 68c.

Systems in An Post are now quite good at recognising stamp values and you woudl ahve a good chance of it being returned or delayed and arrivign with an insufficient postage label attached.
