It's late so I'll be brief.
I bought a three treatment voucher from an Hoslistic Therapy clinic and the guy there when I was paying him, said 'I will have to owe you change cos I don't have a bob on me'. I was like ok, then I had a massage booked for today and I ended up waiting 40 minutes for the guy to turn up, he has to open the door to the building also. I rang him twice and left a voice mail and the phone rang out. He didn't arrive in the end. Now seriously, when I rang him even to book the appointment he hung up on me and I had to ring him back. Previous to this when I rang him and asked for a specific time for a booking, he said 'I'm not hanging around for you all day, you will have to deal with the time I give you'. Am I deficit in the belief that this is the worst running of a business ever? I was alright with the fact that he owed me change but the point was he was never going to give me that change and shouldn't businesses have a petty cash anyway?
I don't know what to think and I genuinely believe that if I hadn't paid him in advance he would have turned up today. I am tempted to go on their facebook page and say something.

How much change? A few cent or something less change like
40 minutes is a long time to wait
Maybe you should just request a refund and find something more relaxing to spend the money on

When you get the massage make sure you go all John Travolta on him. That'll learn him.

i think you should be more worried that you bought vouchers from a "holistic therapy clinic".

When you buy stuff from quacks you shouldn't be surprised that they're shysters.

Anybody who asks for or takes money in advance is somebody you should never deal with.

To be fair that's how vouchers work.

    And trains

    And takeaways.

and... well you get my drift.

the problem is that none of these alternative therapy centres are accredited with any kind of official body. Most of the accreditations they get are from internet sites where you do a quick course and get a cert.
There are some areas like massage where it's possible to do a full proper course and actually provide a medically sound and beneficial service. It can take months of classes in physiology to get certified. Other places just waffle about auras and energy and pop the cert in the mail.

Anywhere that labels itself with "Alternative" is most likely unregulated and is nothing more than quackery. There's a place where I live doing something called Quantum Energy Therapy. Every time I pass the place I want to go full Sheldon on them.

Everywhere. They're everywhere. Mine is reading over my shoulder and beaming me that they're involved. Cos' the love.

OP I think it deserves a Facebook post, once you're finished with them (if that happens !).
If I was about to book with them and saw a pretty objective account of what happened as above, I'd be very grateful.

It doesn't matter who they are, or how dodgy their product, customer service like that should be called out.

Post on their facebook and they will be obliged to give you a hollistic massage.

A rather angry hollistic massage, but still a hollistic massage.

No angels. Chinese Medicine qualifications and so on including acupuncture and other stuff.
I'm going to have to go now and spend more money to get physio instead. Waste of thinking.

Actually qualified medical professionals believe that a holistic approach is best when treating patients.

Now, I guess if you don't take the time to understand what holistic actually means then you would be forgiven for thinking it something to do with fairy dust and magic. It's not. It aims to take into account the individual person, their mental health, social surroundings, and general wellbeing, rather than solely to focus on the disease. It essentially individualises treatment to fit the person, rather than a "one shoe fits all" approach. It's widely recognised in the clinical field as the way forward for medicine.

It's nothing to do with who believes whether they are real or not. The way he conducts business is appalling and I've not heard from him all day either. Facebook it will have to be.

He has taken your money and legged it.

How come you bought a voice for yourself?

Get to mass like a good Christian. Nothing has more healing power than a good, long, arduous mass. Forget your holistic, voodoo, devil worship rubbish.

It seemed like a good deal for three treatments. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't.

I'll give it a go. I'm accredited and all that fancy stuff too. You'll have to send me payment for five massages in advance though and then I'll meet you down by the old mill at 9:30.

Have the massage out in the street is it?

would you really want a massage from that person now, after all their ducking and diving? I wouldn't want their grubby paws anywhere near me tbh.

No way. I messaged the Facebook page saying straight out what was their story. I could do with the money back so I can go to a highly qualified physio instead. My back was out of alligment and it was readjusted and I need help like.

She read my message and ignored me. I wonder could I sue them, I fancy a convertible with summer coming.
