Hi All, I recently joined the CIAT as an associate member. I wish to progress however I have been given the below options and I don't no which one to choose:

Option 1 - Satisfactorily complete the Architectural Technician Professional and Occupational Performance (POP) Record and become a Professionally Qualified Architectural Technician, TCIAT

Option 2 - Satisfactorily complete the Chartered Architectural Technologist POP Record and pass the Professional Practice Interview

Option 3 - Satisfactorily complete the 2013 version of the Chartered Architectural Technologist Professional Assessment (PA) documentation and pass the Professional Assessment Interview. This 2013 version of PA is being phased out and you have until 30 April 2015 to submit the attached nomination form and completed PA application to CIAT.

Has anyone any experience on this; and if so could they shed sone light on it for me?

    Many thanks.

Each route will depend on your experience, generally as a guide

TCIAT is POP up to 5yrs experience and suitable qualifications.

MCIAT for POP and PA routes is 5 yrs + experience.

There is a lot more in the MCIAT POP record than the TCIAT one.

The PA route seems to have less writing but I would suspect more experience is needed.

Ask James or Amenia in London for help, they can also organize a mentor for you if you are really stuck. Good luck with it.

Thanks No6 for the informative reply. I have over 7years experience; I will contact James and ask for his advice.

Once again thank you for taking the time to answer my queries.
