Ok....so we are in the run into the election in the next 14 months.

Hard to believe that Mulherin has shot her self in the foot by calling a Kenyan mobile from the Dail.

Whether it was in a professional capacity or not, there was a risk that it would come out through a foi request or nosey journalist. That it is €2k worth of calls to a mobile makes it hardly insignificant.

How can she recover from this given that FG will struggle to retain seats at the next election?

Isn't she just a total joke? Just been reading the reports and about her RTE1 interview, claiming the calls were made to discuss a defamation against the Kenyan... However, the newspaper article 'defaming' her 'friend' was several months after many of the calls were made.

In one of the reports it mentions an US article headline - "Irish Lawmaker Pinpoints Sex As Cause Of Babies" What an embarrassment.

I would like to think she will flop if she decides to run but once the election fever and bickering starts she will probably be the first one elected in this area!!
