Howdy. My housemate has lost her main key for her 2005 1.4 petrol Ford Focus. She has a spare key but it has not fob on it.

    I have two questions.

1/ Is there any way to get into the boot without the fob?

2/ What's the cheapest way to replace the fob? Can you buy one online and program it yourself?

    Thanks!

I think auto key charge 160 for genuine ford remote key for them and ford are 250-300 euro this is based on prices I got for my focus mk2 07 last year when I was getting one. I wouldnt think you could buy one online and code it yourself as when I got mine done they had to code the key using a computer/ diagnostics. Not sure on the boot thing my boot would unlock with the doors even when manually unlocking the car.
