BBC Radio 5 sports commentaries

    Whenever I try to listen to soccer commentaries of BBC Radio 5 Live on digital I get stopped by a rights issue due to it only being available to U.K. listeners. However tonight I am listening to Stoke V Rochdale via I-Tunes. Won't know til another day whether it works for League matches.

    you can also here it on 909khz and 693 kHz am ok on the east coast of eire

    Tunein App using 3G (via Tesco Mobile) doesn't seem to realise I'm in Ireland and plays live commentary OK. This would otherwise be geo-blocked when using same app via wifi.

    I get geoblocked on TuneIn Pro on both Vodafone and 3, so this is weird, as Tesco uses the O2 network.

    Tesco Mobile had been piggy backing as an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) off the O2 Ireland network since it launched here however; O2 Ireland was since purchased by 3 Ireland in the last 12months or so. I'm not sure if Tesco Mobile still uses just the former O2 Ireland network or a combination of both the former O2 and 3 Ireland network infrastructures. (The O2 concert venue in Dublin is already renamed as the: 3Arena and the O2 logo is fast disappearing from the Republic of Ireland marketplace as the shops are either closed down or changed into 3 Stores instead.)
