Nissan Micra (2005) leak in boot & damp rear seat

My 2005 Micra seems to have developed a leak down by the spare wheel where there are small puddles of water.

Also, the rear seat is damp on the driver side, not passenger side, but the back rest is not wet at all. So look like two different things.

The spare wheel wooden lid and carpet cover in boot are also damp. But the parcel shelf is bone dry too, so not sure where it's getting in.

Can anybody help me? Have no idea where or how it's happening.

    Thanks :)

Get some UV leak indicator liquid - around €5 on ebay. Then buy a UV torch - around €12 from Maplin. Put some of the detector fluid in a garden sprayer with water & spray it around the leak area. The liquid will fluoresce/glow when you shine the UV torch & you will see where it is coming in. Watch out for leaks around roof aerials & you may need to spray up from underneath.

Remove the back seats and everything from the boot have a good feel and look around, could be a damaged door rubber to a missing rubber grommet in the floor some where.

My guess is seal around rear light assemblies or possibly window seals.
Check for cracks and have a look while pouring water over (from outside)

    My Mother uses BluTack...

the amount of water that gets in is amazing.. can fill up the boot until it soaks through the back seat, into the cabin.
