Reserving space for 40 odd people on Sat night

I have taken over a group recently and I am looking to get a event on a Saturday night. I want to reserve an area in a pub for around 40+ people. Have to consider that new people in the group won't know anyone so would have to be easy to find the group. It's only for drinks.

Would need to be in the Dublin 1/2 region as well.

    Any suggestions?

You'd probably need a function area for a group that size. Try pubs with Upstairs Areas and/or hotels with more than one bar or functions rooms.

Upstairs in the Boars Head regularly caters for private parties.

I booked the upstairs of TP Smiths for my husbands 30th a couple of years ago, they were lovely and it was free. I paid for finger food. It is not far from Jervis shopping centre. In the same area you can reserve the upstairs area in the twisted pepper although I think you pay for it. On the south side you can reserve large tables for your numbers in the Bull and Castle which usually has a fun vibe. Not in the city centre but close I know you can reserve an area in the Bath in as we have done it before and got free finger food.
