How long does it take to process JB after informing change of address?

I am due to move out of Dublin at some point in March to county Kildare. I know that I have to inform Social Welfare department the change of address with proof of address. I am not sure how this works. Do I inform SW on day I move, before or after? I am only concerned that I dont have the exact date as I have a lot to sort out in Dublin in terms of clearing out, cleaning, etc.

Secondly when I do inform the SW of the new address with proof of address how long will the process take because I am concerned that if I move before 4th March which is my first sign on date, will I get a new sign on date and new benefit collection date? Or do I still sign on on the 4th March? Sounds complicated doesnt it but I hope you understand what I am trying to say

You go into the sw office in the area you have moved to with proof of address and photo ID and ask for your claim to be transferred. If its before 4th March then you wont sign in Dublin...you will be given your new signing date from you local office. If its after the 4th March then you sign in Dublin. It should only take a couple of days for your claim to be transferred.

As above but the only the thing i would say is, dont be so sure that the transfer will only take a few days as a relative of mine is waiting a week (so far) for his to be transferred. So I would definitely make sure you plan for that scenario just in case it leaves you in the lurch regarding money.
