Samsung S4 internet issue

    Hi,

I bought a galaxy s4 last February from Pixmanias online seller VIPMOVIL. It was purchased unlocked and I use it on the three network. Since purchasing there is an issue with the mobile data. In order get proper mobile data I have to do a network search and choose three. I then have data until I go into a wifi area when it drops again and I have to do the network search in order to get it back. If I dont go in a wifi area it drops anyway after 30 - 60 minutes.

It has been in Samsung Ireland three times for repair, vipmovil sent it to Samsung spain before christmas and the issue remains. I have done a full factory reset, a new sim card goes in after each repair, it is updated fully. When it is for repair I use another phone on the same account and internet works without an issue.

    Any ideas? Please?

As regards warranty, pixmania say its an issue to take up with VIPMOVIL VIPMOVIL say that because it wasnt reported in 30 days they wont do anything. It was reported just after 30 daysas I was onto three as I thought it was an issue with coverage, when reported VIPMVOIL was giving me other ideas to try and thats why it took so long. They wont replace or refund. Samsung are saying I have a repair warranty so they wont replace and once the repair warranty runs out in two years nothing more will be done.

    HELP!!!!!!

Start with checking the network, can you try a sim card from another network. Three's network can be..... Well lets just say it should default back to Vodafone when the Three signal is weak, but from my experience, it can be buggy.

If you have the app llama, your phone was rooted and had lollipop installed, i would say force your phone to drop back from 3G to 2G when phone connects to wifi.

In MY Opinion, and its only that, your phone could have the problem that when you go into wifi area, your phone intelligently works out that downloading data over 3G is not really needed if your data connection on wifi is quicker, so it turns it off. But if Three Ireland are not letting the phone fall back to vodafone's network, you end up on no network.
But i am probably wrong, trying a sim card from another network will confirm that...

I have similar problem. I posted in talk-to three. See thread 2057371869 (can't post url)

When set to allow 3g or 2g, it falls back to 2g in a few mins or even secs. Area I'm in has low 3g signal. Coverage seems very poor here, for suburban location. If there is stronger GPRS signal, it goes with that.
    Haven't looked at WiFi interaction.
