PAYE/PRSI Query

    Hi all,

I started a job in June and the company payed my a starting bonus of €2400, it all has to be given back if leave within year 1, and half within year 2. (I would of rathered it at the end). Anyways, I paid quite abit of tax on it.

Q1. I am strongly thinking of leaving the company soon, just wonder if I pay the company the €2400 back, will I be entitled to the tax I paid on the amount in my first pay cheqye.

Q2. I only realised recently that the €2400 bonus I earned has pushed me over the 4% PRSI threshold for 2014. If I pay the €2400 bonus back, would I be entitled to a PRSI refund.

    Thanks.
