It cost him 200 euro and the person that sold it has him on a Monthly Subscription if they dont pay its cut off.

how can i disable the person from cutting them off there dreambox if they are just using mobdro which is free to use anyway ?

Just stop paying. How much is the monthly subscription ?

Sounds like they are being ripped off.

When you Stop Paying They are Some how turning off the Box, nothing is working on the Box that is what i am looking at they are Remoting into the Box and stopping it from working.

well there are several ways. you can reset the box and just reinstall kodi. or you could google some legitimate retailers here and explain the dilemma. I know of one I got in touch with who talked me through how to switch it off. I am afraid there are people out there who will try take advantage of people less techy than others.

If you reset the box will that stop the person from being able to remote into the box and lock you out?

    I find this shocking.

What is the monthly sub actually for?

So they are selling the box (which probably cost them 80 euro) for 200 euro, and then charging a sub for using Modbro on the box and if you don't pay the sub they cut you off ??

Yup.. they are looking for 100euro every 6 months..

Ah FFS, have you any more 'friends' looking to buy them ?? I can do a better deal!!!

The box can be wiped and set up again, and should work without any sub being paid.

I know there are some services that can be accessed by paying a sub, but that would mainly be for live TV channels (mostly the premium movie and Sports channels).

if you reset the box it should work like a new tablet. nothing only apps on the screen. install that mo - brother stuff, and install kodi. that should work but I would still drop a line to a legitimate seller.
100 for 6 months of them doing nothing? ffs, i am way too nice

if I was getting sports & movies etc, €100 every six months seems like an allright deal?

Get the box and factory reset it, should wipe it I'd say. Just make sure any updater app or similar are gone so the seller cannot remote access the box
Easy to do a build with help from YouTube.

He is a chancer, shouldn't be paying any sub with a streaming box. I have two here with every station, one off payment for the box's.
