Oil light flickers going over pot holes / bumps.

    When I go over some bad pot holes or perhaps one of those tiny speedbumps that clatter the car, the oil light flickers just for a second, then it's back to normal.

    Any idea what could be causing this?

    I checked the oil level - all good. Good for hours even - until I hit a bump.
