    Hi,
Im going annon for this post.
I have been with my girlfriend for a few months (she is not Irish, she is French) and I am happy in the relationship except from one thing. Before we got together she had a friend who she said she was in love with but that he was a player and played with her so she never got in a relationship with him and that things had completely cooled down before she even met me and now I know someone’s past is their past. So moving on we meet and get together and all is happy but back in December she would post sometimes a new profile picture on her FB profile, he would say she looked really cute in the comments section (she would respond with saying thanks and using the love emoticons and things)
I noticed that they were friends and then become friends again on FB. I calmly asked her one day what it was about. She just said that they would argue a lot because she stopped writing back to him on fb and that he would unfriend her then send her the request again and that she scaled it back because of me, i asked her about the emoticon thing and the things he comments now on her posts and she just brushed it off saying it was not a big deal. So moving forward I didn’t give it a second thought until it happened again on another post it was something like “how i met my boyfriend” and a cartoon and he comments “not how u met me” and she laughs haha cute. I looked at her profile and now her friends list is hidden completely so she had to of changed it after i brought it up with her before. I don’t usually use FB at all and maybe I am completely over analysing this and over thinking it so I guess asking some impartial advice on am I looking at something that isn’t there or should I talk to her again, just as a point her ex is in the same city also
On our relationship everything else is fine, she is funny, we talk everyday and apart from the above there isn’t any other problems.

    Id be weary.

He is obviously vying for her attention and she seems keen enough to be giving it.

Maybe its all 100% innocent but to me something doesn't quiet add up

Unless she is about 14 I would find such behaviour completely inappropriate.

Firstly, she sounds like a silly teenager. Secondly, actively hiding her friends list she's aware you're looking. If she has nothing to hide, why do it?
she had a friend who she said she was in love with
She's still hung up on him I'd say, and enjoying his comments as its boosting her ego. He is probably messing with her head and doing it because she will respond, because he knows she's enjoying it.

I think she's not being honest with you, and would not advise you to progress any further with her. She needs to sort her head out, and you need to be not involved in something this messy.
