    hi,

    have no car in mind just a general question... but in general if a timing chain say in an almera or astra h stretches if it possible by buying a chain kit to undo any damage?

    Plenty of those kits from the usual online suppliers over here.

    You cannot "undo" damage, just replace the chain using a kit.
    That said, as long as the chain doesn't break there should not be any damage, only symptoms.
