Mavic tubes?

    I was sold a tube branded Mavic by my LBS, I've a 700c-23 tyre on and asked them for something to suit. On the box it says 700x21-25c so it looks right but when I took the actual tube out it was far skinnier than the Continental tube that I was discarding. Anyway I pumped it up to 80psi no problems and it seemed fine but then came back to it this morning and its totally flat. I tried pumping again but it seems the little screw bit on the end of the presta valve might be broke, it won't screw in and I can't seen to get the air into the tube. I'm wondering might I have damaged it when taking the pumps clamp off it? Is there any fix or should I just can it and buy another?

    Get a replacement already. €12.49 for 5 at Halfords. No need to loose sleep over a €2.50 tube.
