Health Insurance Help

Some help please, as I find it very difficult to understand differing policies on what I need. I've looked at that HAi comparison website but quite frankly don't understand what it is I need.

I'm a married 40 yr old male, school teacher, non smoker. Wife is 37 self employed, non smoker. No children.Neither of us have any underlying health problems (thank God) nor have ever made claims.

We are currently with Aviva on the Health Starter package.
Is this a decent policy worth paying or would I be better off paying a little extra for better cover?

I've heard on tv/radio about asking for different policies not advertised. Can anyone advise on this?

I really appreciate any help/suggestions as the policy is up next month.

    many thanks

Ask the same question on the health insurance forum on askaboutmoney.com, there are some very knowledgeable people there re health insurance, if you're lucky one will answer. I ask there every year.
