I have a bit of rough ground that was not touched in years , I would like to plant up with vegetables. How should I go about it
I can get a load of dung off the local farmer if I want it

Strim it as bare as possible now. Cover the bare ground with a thick coat of newspaper or clean cardboard and put
out about 4 to 6 inches of dung on it. Then cover with 8 inches of loose straw or 1200 gauge black plastic. It will be ready for planting when the ground warms up. Usually late April or early May.
