A4 OR CC?

    Hi lads,

I am looking for a bit of advice. I have a 08 A4, 2lt, 140bhp import with 222km, I really love the car but want a change after three years. An 11 CC has caught my eye for €23, 2lt, 140bhp.

The inside of the CC is very nice, leather seats etc but can't make my mind up.
    A similar 2011 spec A4 is about €2k + more.

What do ye think? Another A4 or CC?

    Thanks.

You already have an A4, try something new :)

An A4 is classes behind a CC in my opinion. Seems ludicrous to spend €2k more than you would on a CC on an A4.

As an audi driver, I would pick the cc.

VW never did it for me. Way overpriced, trying to be a premium car.

Audi for me but it's a matter of what you want at the end of the day of course. If we all like the same thing, there would be no fun arguments :D

Lol. Do you not get the irony in that statement?

    You're a marketeers dream :)

Its not as if the Audi is AWD, or has a better engine, or a better stereo, or nicer seats, or is quieter, faster etc etc
Sure a top spec A4 might be better than a Passat Cc, but a sausage-and-chips model is nothing to get excited about.

Could you define what you mean by a bit better in every way because I'm genuinely at a loss as to how a front wheel drive sparcly equipped A4 is in anyway better than a top spec Passat CC to justify spending €2k plus more it?

Thankfully not everyone gives a **** what others think of them or wear a fur coat and no knickers but enjoy your basic Audi. I'm sure your peers think your awesome along with numerous Audi dealers. :D

How much would you get for the A4? 10 500?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,113 ✭✭✭Gavman84

I'd go for the cc nicer looking car I think anyway and not as common.

Hoping to get €10,500 for the A4 alright.

Ditto. There are so many A4's around I'd prefer to have something not so common

Every second car I see lately is a Passat though. Neither are very niche so not much difference on that score.

Speaking as someone that works with Audi - go for the CC - unless the A4 is top spec S Line in a decent engine (quattro) with all the toys the passat cc is a nicer option. Inside of the A4 is unfortunately dating a lot. Still looks nice on the outside.

What color is it? Is it the new shape?

It is Black Metallic, new version. Interested?

Will probably get modded for that!

Sorry mate. I should have taken it to pm. I'd be interested!

The OP is looking at a Passat CC not a regular Passat. Passat CCs are still relatively rare espeically compared to A4s.

    +1.

I looked into buying one at one stage but went for something else instead, but anytime I see a CC around town, I always do a double take. Audi A4s, while a lovely car, are ten a penny.

I don't buy a car because I think that other people might like it. I buy a car that I will like myself.

The only time other people's opinions come into it is when it's time to sell.
