Updated UEFI, now Fans gone mad

    Hi,

I updated an Asrock Z68 Pro3 to it's latest Bios (2.10) from what version I do not know but I wish I did, anyway, It went wrong and I ended up not being able to boot.

Clearing CMOS didn't do much so I ended up reinstalling W7 and it's millions of updates (the Digital River Download is way out of date) and got back in.

But the Fans are acting the bollix now, so I went into the UEFI (should have done this first as it changed back/is set to SATA IDE and the registry hack to change to AHCI won't work now) and the whole Fan section is different. The lowest Celsius temp it'll go to now is 45 degrees for some reason, the build use to run at 32 (ish) idle.

So like it's "set" to run hotter??? And the stupid thing does, idling at 45, open a few tabs and it's like hurricane rachel starts in there. FFS.

If I reinstall it all again on AHCI (is their anything else I'm suppose to change in UEFI?) will it work right do ye think? I've crap internet, those updates are big/takes ages.

Or, where can I get "proper" older UEFI for this Board from? Asrock only have this 2.10 piece of sh1t on the site.

Is the version it came with wrote somewhere maybe? To Tired/To late to go looking now.

I see version 1.6 on this site,

    techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/15397/

    ^^that's fairly narly installation instructions.

Will that work or break it altogether??

Where can I get a new bios chip from?

    This is gonna go south.

Could that version 1.6 be dodgy to continue with even if it worked?

This might sound crazy but have you used the + and - keys to changes the values. I was trying to use the mouse recently to change ratio's in my own bios and thought there was something wrong, turned out that it would only let me use the mouse for certain values, other ones only worked with those keys, weird and all as that is.

Em, i think what i change sticks, that "set desired temp" or whatever way its worded is the problem, i cant understand why it starts so high...it cant even be right. No way it jumped 15 degrees for no reason at idle, it just thinks it did. Ill mess with them again ina bit +- and chance version 1.6 if i have to.

Thats a shocking poor update. I was getting random black screens and nothing i tried solved it so thats why i chanced the update.

    No black screen since.

Right, gonna start into this again. I see theirs a newer Beta one on the asrock site.

So, in this order, ill fiddle with this Uefi-->reinstall on AHCI-->try the Beta one-->try a 1.6 and a 1.7 version-->bring it to someone to fix it cuz il be well sick of it by then.

    Asrock suck.
