    Simple really.

Any of you fine folks know where I can buy some in the good old Republic Of Ireland?

    Finding it very difficult.

Even from franchisee's of large chains, who stock all these ridiculous micro breweries beers from England but I cant get a single can of Belgian brewed Stella Artois!?

    SERIOUSLY!?

Is this a specific type of Stella Artois or a new naming convention? Do I have to start asking for Irish milked Avonmore Irish Milk and the likes?

    Listen.

Deep down, all lagers taste the same . Embrace the fact and move on.

Stella sold here is brewed by InBev in a field in Wales. Noting special about it other than the marketing. If you can't find it why not try a glass of Carlsberg strained through a tramps sock?

    Reassuringly expensive....

    ... at 1 euro a can.

The InBev version is horrible. Stella on draught i Belgium is a whole other story.

The Belgium bottled version gets 3 more points than Guinness at http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/169/449/ :D

Have to say I can empathize with the OP - I've never seen it here, just the BUL sh!te brewed in the UK which has given me my worst hangover ever.

Stella from Belgium on the other hand is nectar.

Tried Belgian Stella several times. Always gave me a thumping headache after half a glass. Luckily there were hundreds of other excellent beers there that didn't have that effect

    However, if we could stick to the subject;

OF WHERE TO *ECKING BUY IT

    That would be great....

    Many thanks there fathers.

I've never seen Jupiler anywhere in Ireland, way superior to Stella imo

It turns up from time to time in my local offo, lovely stuff. The 4% Stella is a nice smooth lager, cheap enough too

Going to Belgium and hoovering back lager is like visiting China and eating Big Macs. It might be what your unrefined palate is used to, but it means you miss out on what the country does well. Try a lambic or a quadrupel for God's sake.

Real Belgian Stella is a Pils which is different than lager tbf.

Juplier and Maes are both superior to Stella but the real stuff is still far nicer than any of the generic lager we get here.

The English Stella is muck. The 4% version is English brewed as well as far as I know.

Thank you. Its an outlet for my own thoughts and feelings but if others can take from it, then that's an added advantage.
