Coil whine : is it really that bad?

    I hear lots about coil whine, but will anything really bad happen if you just ignore it? is it just an annoyance or can it seriously break your GFX?

    No, it certainly shouldn't cause any issues aside from annoyance if it's very audible. A lot of them tend to be encased now to help reduce this.

    is it the fan

    get fan software to tell temputure,

    probly cheap fix to replace fans

    or try cleaning them

    Where was everyone talking about coil whine? . I'm an electronic engineer of thirty years standing and I've never heard of it.

    It no more audable than a hard drive spinning down. If you like a quiet system it might be a bit annoying.
