    Yesterday for me, cooked pasta and broccoli.

    When did you last use one and for what purpose? C'mon, I sure there's some great straining stories out there.

    When I mistakenly swallowed a 2 euro coin, I shat into the colander to sieve the sh1t and find the coin.

    Fried rice should always be made from cooked day before rice, preferably cold.

    If in a hurry it can be acceptable to use freshly cooked rice, but for best results always use cooled, cooked rice.

    An hour ago when I made pasta. It wasn't really a colander though, it was the top part of a steamer. Does the job.

    I use one at least once a week to fluff up the par boiled spuds before going into the oven for roasting. This gives the roasties that nice crispy exterior.

    Use it most days to strain things I cook. Steam a lot of things though so job done. Have to sieve rice.
