Yesterday for me, cooked pasta and broccoli.

When did you last use one and for what purpose? C'mon, I sure there's some great straining stories out there.

When I mistakenly swallowed a 2 euro coin, I shat into the colander to sieve the sh1t and find the coin.

About ten mins ago, some rice boiled with half a lemon and some cloves.

Gonna be delicious stir fried with some lamb and okra tomorrow, poached (still runny) egg on top.

    Yummy.

Why not cook the rice tomorrow?

Fried rice should always be made from cooked day before rice, preferably cold.

If in a hurry it can be acceptable to use freshly cooked rice, but for best results always use cooled, cooked rice.

    No.

    They're different.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    No.

Sieve is the one with all the holes in it right?

Colander is the one with all the holes in it too?

As you can tell I'm very in the know with all this!

An hour ago when I made pasta. It wasn't really a colander though, it was the top part of a steamer. Does the job.

Yeah but a strainer could be a sieve or a colander.

I use one at least once a week to fluff up the par boiled spuds before going into the oven for roasting. This gives the roasties that nice crispy exterior.

About a month ago, cooking spaghetti for friends while on holiday. Cooked too much, of course. :D

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Only if it's not cooled within a reasonable time and put in the fridge.

Use it most days to strain things I cook. Steam a lot of things though so job done. Have to sieve rice.
