Riello G3X burner not firing or pumping oil to nozzle

My boiler was working fine up until yesterday!

Noticed heat didn't come on this morning so went out to check it and the motor is runing but no ignition and water is stone cold.
The motor runs and blows air, but it doesn't spark or squirt oil out the nozzle. Doesn't go into lock out mode, would sit there all day just with the motor running.

So far I've cleaned the nozzle with compressed air (not blocked), checked filters at tank and inside cover of pump (all perfectly clean). Plenty of oil getting as far as the pump but no further. Blew compressed air through pipe from pump to the nozzle and its all clear.
Disconnected the output pipe from the pump and switched it on - nothing is being pumped out.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Fuel pump solenoid or control box, most likely the control box as its not going to lock out.

After all of that you should probably get a new nozzle. They are finely and precisely made and face of nozzle should not even be touched with your hand or anything else.

You problem could be a few things and a service /repair would be the best way to go. The fault is most likely a photo cell or solenoid.

If it doesnt go to lock out then i would suspect photocell first then the coil.

I was about to edit my post to say about changing the nozzle as well, but you got there ahead of me.

Thanks all, it was the photocell.
When I removed the old one, it fired up and then went to lockout.
So I swapped it for a new one and its working perfectly.

Will swap the nozzle etc soon!
